Company President, Elaine Burnett has over 25 years of experience in immigration and an extensive background in international trade. Born and raised in rural Saskatchewan, Elaine obtained a Diploma in Business Administration and Commerce from Reliance School of Commerce, Regina. She also holds a Management Certificate from the Saskatchewan Government two-year management development program. Elaine obtained her professional designation as a Canadian Certified Immigration Consultant under the Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants in 2005, and is a member of the Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants and a Fellow of the Canadian Migration Institute.

Elaine worked in the International Trade Division of the Saskatchewan Government before moving to Immigration in the mid-1980’s. She was a member of the initial Canada-Saskatchewan negotiating committee leading to the first-ever Canada-Saskatchewan Immigration Agreement signed in 1998. She was instrumental in designing and implementing the initial pilot project to establish the provincial nominee class for Saskatchewan.

Elaine has served a number of municipal, provincial and federal government committees, volunteered for community, health, and church boards and committees. She has traveled extensively for professional and personal reasons.

In July, 2003, Elaine established Burnett Immigration Services Inc. (formerly E.F. Burnett and Associates).

Elaine is a Notary Public for the Province of Saskatchewan.

 


Maria "Ghee" H. White, Senior Officer

Maria "Ghee" WhiteNo stranger to the immigration process, Ghee immigrated to Canada in January, 2006 from the province of Cavite, Philippines under the expert advice from Elaine F. Burnett. Ghee was Elaine’s first sponsorship client to come to Canada. She brought with her many years of experience as a recipient of a Bachelors Degree in Commerce and as an employee of the Supreme Court of the Philippines for 14 years.

Her desire to be a productive member of our society has manifested itself in her employment with Burnett Immigration Services Inc. The challenges facing the Saskatchewan business community at present and in the future will be met with knowledge and enthusiasm by Ghee. Her fluency in Tagalog is vital in working with our large base of Filipino clients.

As a recent immigrant herself, she knows first-hand the work involved to make a successful application.

 


Supreet Chawla, Accountant & Administrative Assistant

Supreet Chawla

Supreet Chawla joined Burnett Immigration Services in July of 2010 as a new immigrant who recently came from India.

He completed  his Bachelor's of Commerce from Delhi University in 2008 and is currently pursuing distance learning for a Master's of Business Administration (Finance) from Symbiosis University, India.

Supreet has also worked as a Junior Accountant in an international export company in India.

He works closely on skilled worker applications for the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program as well as translating for East Indian clients who work with BIS.

Supreet is fluent in English, Hindi and Punjabi.

 


Milanpreet Kaur, Administrative Assistant

Milanpreet Kaur

Milan joined BIS in February of 2010 as an adminstrative assistant. Milan came to Canada in November of 2009 from India. Milan has a Bachelor of Science in Airlines, Tourism & Hospitality Management and a Diploma In IATA-UFTAA Ticketing Foundation Course. She joins BIS with a wealth of customer care experience with her former position as a Customer Service Executive with an Indian Airlines company.

Milan is fluent in English, Hindi and Punjabi.

 

 

 

 


Bianca Episkenew, Receptionist & Administrative Assistant

Bianca is from the Muscowpetung First Nation. Daugher of a Dakota/Anishaube father and a Metis mother, Bianca has spent her life in Regina.

After graduating from high school, she worked with the elderly and then moved on to the insurance industry where she spent three years. She is exceedingly inspired by the adversity immigrants have to overcome and hopes to use her skills to assist.

Bianca is pleased to have joined the BIS team in September of 2010 and looks forward to the future.
